This article describes the types of galvanic isolation that are widely used in industry. Their advantages and disadvantages are noted, and the area of their application is shown. Optocouplers, their types, features and purpose are considered in detail. And the 70G-IDC5NP DC Input Module and 70G-ODC5 DC Output Module galvanic isolation modules used in railway automation, telemechanics and communication devices based on transistor optocouplers are considered in more detail. A structural diagram of a laboratory stand for studying the operation of galvanic isolation modules within the educational process is proposed
