Abstract: 

This article describes the types of galvanic isolation that are widely used in industry. Their advantages and disadvantages are noted, and the area of ​​their application is shown. Optocouplers, their types, features and purpose are considered in detail. And the 70G-IDC5NP DC Input Module and 70G-ODC5 DC Output Module galvanic isolation modules used in railway automation, telemechanics and communication devices based on transistor optocouplers are considered in more detail. A structural diagram of a laboratory stand for studying the operation of galvanic isolation modules within the educational process is proposed
