The article discusses radio monitoring systems for determining the purpose, type and location of radio emission sources (RES) by a direction-finding device based on technical means of radio monitoring. By comparative analysis of radio monitoring systems, the system with the best parameters was determined - the "ARTICUL-SN-80" system. A comparison of this system with the already existing railroad radio monitoring system MIKRAD was made. This comparison will let us understand whether it is possible or impossible to use the ARTIKUL-SN-80 system in railway transport
