Аннотация:

Abstract. The authors conducted a comparative legal study of the process of hiring foreign citizens in Russia and Germany. Both countries have signed and ratified the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, which imposes certain international legal obligations in the field of hiring foreign workers.

The article deals with the general provisions of international legal acts ratified by both states. The main aspects of hiring migrant workers in the legislation of the Russian Federation and Germany were briefly outlined. The registration processes in these countries were considered separately. German judicial practice related to the interpretation of the terms of the German law is given.
