This article describes the principle of digitalization, its main directions, and the experience of implementing it on the railway through a "Digital Depot". The significance and effectiveness of the modern application of these directions are noted. The possibility of creating applications for training students and employees through the cross-platform software Unity is considered. The presented results have shown that such applications will not only lead to increased learning efficiency, assimilation and accessibility of information, but also will lead to the increase of productivity through more impactful and involved data collection
