This article discusses one of the new areas of logistics – «green» logistics, which has been gaining popularity in recent years. The paper highlights topical issues related to environmental studies, which, according to the authors, is not given so much attention undeservedly. Directions have been identified that will help reduce the negative impact of logistics activities on the environment. The problems that slow down the implementation of the principles of "green" logistics in the process of supply chain management are identified. In particular, the lack of awareness and interest of market participants about the prospects for the introduction of green technologies; the lack of government measures that promote the introduction of lean, in relation to the environment, business tools related to the management of the movement of material flows.
