Аннотация: 

The article is devoted to the statistical analysis of ice accidents on power transmission lines during the autumn-winter period. Statistical data show the growth of dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena, causing social and economic losses, including in the energy sector in the field of operation of transmission lines. In this connection, the question arises of the inadequacy of methods used by electric grid companies to combat ice during the increasing length of power lines and the urgency of developing an effective method for preventing and controlling ice on the wires.
