Abstract: 

The article considers an example of modeling the volume of loading of the main types of cargo on the railway transport of the Russian Federation. The simulation is performed in the form of a piecewise linear regression model, and a linear model is constructed using the method of mixed estimation of the parameters of regression equations. The obtained models are compared
