Abstract:

This article presents a calculation of the effect of the wear of a car’s wheel in a driving circle on the nature of the movement of rolling stock in a curved section of the track. Differences between the values of the maximum vertical forces when changing the wheel rolling circle obtained experimentally in the "Universal Mechanism" program are noted. The nonlinear dependence of the amplitude of the maximum vertical forces on the wear of the wheel is reflected. This result allows us to obtain more reliable data on the interaction of the wheel-rail system during the movement of the car within the transition curve and is of great applied value in the study of the interaction of the track and rolling stock.
