Abstract: 

in 2020, there are major changes in the structure of Russia's foreign trade. Maybe the new conditions have temporary effects that will not change the global value chains that have been created for decades. The article discusses changes in the plan and geography of deliveries, volumes and their product structure. There is a decrease in total turnover in 2020 compared to 2019. At the same time, there is a decrease in both exports and imports of Russia. The reasons for the decline in exports and imports by product groups are revealed. Favorable conditions for the development of commodity producers are outlined
