The development and implementation of new technical solutions and comprehensive for the innovative development of the transport industry increases the level of economic development of the country and creates new conditions for the population. This article discusses the concept of driverless technologies, an analysis of their application in railways, aviation and road transport. The advantages and disadvantages of technological developments are highlighted. Based on the position of the Russian Federation in this industry in the world market for 2019-2020 prospects of development are listed. Measures are proposed to ensure traffic safety with the participation of unmanned vehicles.
